In brief

The randomised, double-blind trial reported acute improvements in processing speed, attention, cognitive flexibility and selected mood measures, with assessments up to five hours.

The confirmatory study included 88 healthy university students aged 18–25 during an examination period. In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover design, each participant received a single 100 mg dose of Zynamite® S and placebo in separate sessions.

Assessments at 30 minutes, three hours and five hours included the Trail Making Test, Digit Symbol Substitution Test, Stroop and Profile of Mood States. The authors report favourable signals for processing speed, attention, cognitive flexibility, fatigue and selected mood domains.

Replication increases confidence in the signal for the specific preparation and dose, but it does not remove every limitation. The model measures an acute effect in young adults under stress and does not establish long-term use, clinically meaningful performance or equivalence of non-matching extracts.

Why it matters

A low dose, rapid onset and replication of a previous study strengthen the B2B dossier for caffeine-free cognition and mental-energy concepts.

Evidence limit

The population was young and the model acute. The trial does not establish chronic benefit, transferability to other age groups or equivalence of other mango extracts.
