The trial will assess multiple doses across menstrual symptoms, mood, gastrointestinal complaints and quality of life in healthy women aged 18–40.
The Effera Dose Response trial is designed to evaluate a biotechnology-produced human-equivalent lactoferrin in healthy women aged 18–40. Active formulations will be compared with placebo for twelve weeks.
The protocol includes questionnaires on menstrual symptoms, quality of life, mood and gastrointestinal health, alongside adherence and adverse-event monitoring. A dose-response structure may define a more informative use range than a single dose.
Potential industrial value lies in origin, standardisation and premium positioning. Until results are available, no clinical benefit can be attributed and no conclusion can be drawn that human-identical lactoferrin is superior to bovine lactoferrin.
Women’s health and precision fermentation form a premium territory that could distinguish biotech lactoferrin from conventional bovine sources.
A recruiting study with no results. The registry does not demonstrate efficacy, an optimal dose or superiority over bovine lactoferrin.
